Boat balance - If a yacht is allowed to heel away from the wind, it will tend to turn into the wind or luff up. If you allow the boat to heel towars the wind, it will bear away. In either ease some rudder movement will be needed to keep it on course, which will slow the boat down. Turn the boat using the wheel to the desired course to steer. This may be a definite bearing or towards a landmark, or at a desired angle to the apparent wind direction.

The Chicago White Sox are looking to put the knockout punch on the Detroit Tigers and their playoff hopes.

The Detroit Tigers have been flirting with disaster all season. Opening the year as preseason favorites to contend for the AL pennant, they stumbled out of the gate with an 0-7 record. But then eventually bounced back to challenge the White Sox for the top spot in the AL Central. RHP Dontrelle Willis joined the Detroit Tigers pitching staff to give the Tigers starting rotation a boost. But then Willis allowed 8 Earned Runs, 5 Walks, and 2 Home Runs in 1.1 innings pitched to the Cleveland Indians. 1 day later, Dontrelle was sent to Single A Lakeland of the South Altlantic League.

It’s not too late to take the Orioles to win the 2008 World Series….

The Baltimore Orioles have been on the virge of breaking out all year long. However, horrible pitching has kept them at or near the bottom of the AL East standings all year long.

However, lately…starting pitching has improved and Baltimore hitting has continued make the Orioles a dangerous ball club. Today, HOT pitcher Daniel Cabrerra will face struggling Mariners pitcher Carlos Silva in Game 3 of a three-game-series with the Seattle Mariners. Yesterday, the Orioles beat ace pitcher Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners by a final score of 3-1 behind some great pitching by Jermemy Guthrie; and, today a win against the Seattle Mariners will give the Baltimore Orioles a rare three-game-road-sweep in Seattle.
